I’m so excited to announce that the winner of the Asian-inspired fat quarters is Diane H, from Ontario (a “local” girl, yeah!), and the winner of the charm pack was an anonymous commenter (very mysterious, indeed!) who is new to sewing. Welcome to the Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Day! I'm so excited to be participating again - I had a blast reading everyone's comments last year. So this year I decided to offer two prizes

First up is a set of five Asian-inspired fat quarters.

The second is a Moda charm pack - Miss Jump's Scrapbag by Linda Brannock with a 1/2 yard of dark brown fabric.

The Last of the Beach Towel Quilt Tops

I finally got a chance to finish the last of the three Beach Towel quilt tops. Hopefully this will be quilted within the week!

 

I can't decide which of the three is my favourite. I love them all, which is why two of them are definitely becoming members of the family collection...but I think this one will go up for sale. I miss it already.

Blogger's Quilt Festival - 2011

Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying Amy's Quilt Festival - I look forward to this event and seeing all the fabulous things everyone has created. For me, my quilt of choice this year is one that I recently made with my very first jelly roll that I ever bought.

I love this quilt because it confirms what I already knew to be true about myself - I love striking colours and lot of white. And I also like straightforward and simple quilts...and I don't need to feel bad about that. I was able to make three quilts from one jelly roll - I love them and I love how easy they were to make.

Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Day Is Coming!

It's that time of year again - the Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Day is coming back on May 23rd. I loved joining into this last year and am really looking forward to doing it again this year. I have some very serious contemplation to do on my stash and see what I can put together for this.
